Tory Burch has succeeded again with the Contrast Elastic Wedge Espadrilles.

The Tory Burch Contrast Elastic Wedge Espadrilles are possibly the best espadrilles to be released this year. So many of the hottest Spring / Summer 2011 shoe trends are together in these shoes and they all work together perfectly. The shoes are bright yellow, super high wedges, and are jute wrapped at the base.

The bright yellow is balanced perfectly with a neutral khaki so they are not too overpowering with the yellow. Even though the shoes have a 4.5″ wedge heel, there is a 1″ platform to help not only balance better when wearing them but also helps alleviate the pressure on the balls of your feet so you can wear the shoes comfortably. Another feature that helps you walk in such high heels are the criss cross straps at the vamp and the ankles which will securely hold your feet in the shoes. The jute wrap bases of the shoes are a very popular look, giving them a bit of a natural nautical feel to them.

These are a great pair of shoes to wear when you are wearing a neutral color outfit because the pop of yellow will brighten you up. You also can wear this when you are wearing some yellow so you can carry this color to your feet. These shoes will look great with shorts, capri length pants or jeans, as well as a maxi skirt/dress.

A pair of Flatform shoes is a must have this season and will be for the foreseeable future. You should jump on board now and be a trendsetter rather than a follower. These are the perfect solution for a summer shoe because you will get the height of a platform shoe but the comfort of a flat. The shape of a flatform allows you comfort for hours on end so you can enjoy all of your summer activities without being in pain. A flatform is great also because they tend to be very stylish, unlike a comfortable flip flop type sandal which many of us gravitate to when we know we will be on our feet for a while and do not want to wear a closed toe shoe like a sneaker.

Tory Burch Revas flat shoes are probably the most well known and comfortable shoe made by Tory but I personally am a fan of her other less known shoes that fewer women are wearing. My favorite summer shoes from Tory Burch have to be the Contrast Canvas Wedge Espadrilles. These all canvas shoes with a decorative woven jute straw platform base come in two different color combinations. There is a black and white as well as a navy and olive combo. At first I was immediately drawn to the black and white shoes but the more I keep going back to look I am liking the navy shoes more. I love the criss cross straps at the toe area and the lace up tie uppers. You can not go wrong with either of these colors, in fact it may be best to buy both since you will get a lot of wear from them. The openness of the shoes, the canvas material, as well as the great flatform shape make these the perfect shoe to wear for all occasions.

Elizabeth and James Bounce 2 Band Platform Sandals are another great pair of flatform summer sandals. These sandals are a two strap slide on sandal which I love because it makes them so easy to put on and take off. There are two color combinations for theses shoes. The first is a natural with contrasting light brown croc embossed leather. The front thin strap is the leather and the wide strap is a woven raffia with the leather as a trim. The woven raffia also is wrapped around the base of the platform. The other color combination is a black raffia and black croc embossed leather. A black sandal is a must have but for this styling and look I much prefer the natural combo.

Cork is a great material for shoes because it is shock absorbent. The Michael Kors MK16212 are a basic cork based neutral colored sandal with some great design elements to it like criss cross straps, a toe loop, and wrap around ankle strap. The great shade of beige makes these sandal a shoe that will go with so many different items of clothes. You can wear a head to toe neutral look or use these shoes as an accent that will not take away from colors or patterns that you are wearing. In addition tothe cork base, these shoes are a very flat flatform shoe so they are going to be super comfortable to wear on hours on end.

Flatforms are going to be a style of shoes that we well see for a long time to come. Since they are a new trend that are still a bit harder to find but don’t get discouraged there are plenty of them out there. Also be aware that many designers are calling their platform shoes flatforms even though they have a wedge shape to them, this is fine, as long as the incline is not too much.

Spring officially starts in just a few days and it is time to put away sweaters and heavy weight pants and pull out shorts and light weight skirts. My present collection of shorts is quite basic, in fact I have a few pairs of denim shorts as well as a few basic color regular shorts but this season there are so many wonderful print shorts to wear.

The key for getting a lot of use out of a print short is to make sure that they are versatile.  Pick a simple black and white short and you can pair them with practically any solid color and possibly other print shirts. You can also try to find a very colorful print short so that you can pick up on one of the colors from the shorts and wear a shirt in that color to tie it together.

The Tory Burch Kevin Shorts are a great basic pattern short because they are not overly crazy with color and the pattern, while quite busy, is not distracting.

Floral prints are everywhere this season and the Sachin + Babi Masha Shorts is a great pair of floral shorts if you, especially if you prefer a pair of short longer in length. These shorts have a beautiful grosgrain along the length of the hips as well as the pockets. I love the bottom of the leg holes where they tie.

Perhaps you are looking for a pair of shorts that are very bold and bright. If that is the case then you should consider the Nanette Lepore Tattletale Shorts.

The pair of shorts that I have my eye on at the moment are the L.A.M.B. Gingham Drawstring Shorts. I love the overall shape and cut of the shorts and really love the contrasting gingham trim.

As temperatures rise, the flowers outside begin to bloom. All the bright colors make the ground look so cherry and beautiful so why not bring that upbeat feeling to your shoes. Flowers are most definitely everywhere this spring from shirts to dresses to shoes. Some people are not big on flowers on clothing, myself included, but there is something about flowers either appliqued on shoes or printed on the fabric that I just enjoy so much. A simple basic outfit is given a new look when paired with a great pair of flower shoes.  No matter the type of shoe you are looking for there is a floral shoe. Great espadrilles and sandals are perfect to pair with jeans or shorts and a t-shirt. That great dress you found fpr a summer wedding can be invigorated with a pair of high heels with a flower at the toe or heel.

The Ballet Espadrille in Bronze Leather can be worn with shorts , jeans, or a simple maxi skirt. Some sort of Tory Burch shoe should be a staple in everyone’s closet and most choose a ballet flat but I think this espadrille is much more fashionable and unique. I love the different size sequins used to make the flower and the bronze color is great as well.

The boho look is a big trend right now and part of this look is fringe. One of the best ways to wear fringe is on your shoes. The choices for sandals are endless. The Dolce Vita Idalia Sandals are some of my favorite sandals because of their neutral color and basic style. Heels are always a great shoe. Many can be dressed up or dressed down so you will get a lot of wear from them. If you are trying to not only capture the trend of fringe but was something that is bright and bold , the Enzo Angiolini Laila is a great heel. Another heel that captures multiple trends, fringe and chains, is the Michael Kors Vienna. A great basic heel that should give you a lot of wear is the Max Studio Boudica. Some fancier heels are the Tory Burch Evelyn and the Alexander Wang Bree. Both of these shoes are great to wear with a simple dress or skirt.

Fringe Wedges

There are a lot of fun attention grabbing fringe wedges for sale. my favorite are the Sigerson Morrison 9723 . The combination of the hot pink and the orange are my favorite and have been since the 1980s. There is something about the two colors that really excites me. The Kelsi Dagger Madison are a basic shoe that will go with so many outfits in your closet and the Eric Michael Malu are a great shade of purple that is not too bright and not too pastel.

Spring is not usually a time for tall boots but the Roberto Cavalli T7903A have the crochet trend as well as fringe and the color is light so you can wear them even when it is warm.  The Michael Kors Malika border winter and spring so they are best for early in the spring season. While wedges, heels, and pumps all are flattering shoes to wear, they can be uncomfortable as well. Sometimes you want to wear a flat comfortable shoe, especially in the spring and summer when it is hot out. Spring is just around the corner and it is not just your winter clothes and shoes that will need to go to the back of the closet.
