Since 1989 Lulu Guinness has been designing handbags and accessories  that are absolutely gorgeous and humorous at the same time.  These bags are collectible yet wearable so they look equally as good on your arm as they do displayed on your living room shelf. Often referred to as ” tomorrows treasures” many of Lulu’s bags can be seen on display in top museums around the world.  Lulu Guinness handbags are quite popular amongst the celebrity crowd as well with Helena Bonham Carter, Katy Perry,  Rachel Weisz, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, and Alexa Chung all being fans. One of the most amazing things about Lulu Guinness is that she received no formal training yet in 2009 she was awarded The Independent Handbag Designer Awards ICONOCLAST Award for Lifetime Achievement in Handbag Design.

Alice + Olivia was first launched by Stacey Bendet in 2002 and has been successful ever since. The brand offers beautifully made vintage styled clothing that has been the it brand for many of their followers. The clothing line concentrates in form fitting clothing that both flatters and enhances.

Club Monaco Spring and Summer Dresses are now available. This years collection is a mixture of boho, long hem dresses, mids and  mixed with the right amount of a polished finish.  The brand itself is known for not being overly trendy  and creating great basic staple pieces of clothing so that they not only can be worn with other great Club Monaco accessories but with other brands as well. You are not going to find crazy outlandish colors and patterns with Club Monaco but rather will find more subtle patterns and basic colors that will last beyond a single season. That is no to say that Club Monaco is not trendy and is considered boring and simple, just that an emphasis is put on being a classic  look with a bit of trendiness added in. With ruffles and pleats on many of the dresses you will see many of the popular lady-like looks that were so popular at all of the Spring fashion shows.  A lot of the dresses also have a laid back boho chic look to them giving the appearance of a natural dress that has so modern elements to it as well.

Club Monaco Aileen is a long hem dress that is pleated and gorgeous . This is available in two colors and both are perfect for this spring and summer. In fact this is one of my favorites dresses this year. I love the shirtdress style and the fact that it is made of cotton so I will not be too hot when wearing this dress. Style is added to this otherwise basic shirtdress with a long pointed collar and the 10 buttons that go from top to bottom of the dress. The pleated band at the waist and box pleating at the back of the dress really help define and accentuate the waist and give it definition. The neutral colors of the dress make this versatile and easy to wear with so much of your wardrobe. The Aileen is the perfect summer dress for a casual day at work or for a relaxing weekend.   This dress looks great paired with sandals or open toed wedges along with a nice chunky bangle.

Club Monaco Kayleen is a silk dress that is about mid drift that comes in a nice graphic design. It features a scoop neck line and cinched waist. There is pintucking at plackets and pleating at the back which help create great definition at the waist. The ruching at the drawstring and bottom of the cuffs adds to the  soft feminine look and feel of this dress. Though the dress is sheer, there is no fear of over exposure since there is a think black slip lining so all that needs to be covered is. Pair this dress with sandals or open toe shoes  making sure you are keeping your shoes light and soft like this dress. You can wear this dress at work or for fun. You can even wear this when the weather cools down for fall.

Club Monaco Tracey silk pleated dress is gorgeous it features a ruffle look from the pleats that is so in this spring and summer. This dress also features a scoop neck and front zip that is hidden and also the dress is belted. This dress is so soft and feminine looking and fits so well with the ladylike trend that is so popular right now. You can wear heels or sandals with this dress depending on how casual or dressed up you want to be. I can envision wearing this dress not only for work but for an afternoon party or wedding.

Club Monaco Layla is the perfect basic dress to own. You can wear it to work as well as for a night out. Throw a blazer or fitted jacket over the dress when you are at the office to look professional or wear it as is at night for fun. You can even add some color to the dress by wearing a belt over the dress at the waist.  The ruching and vertical seams at the waist not only make this dress much more stylish that a regular basic navy dress  but really flaunts your waist. This is a dress that will take you from one year to the next due to its classic styling, this is not a dress that will look out a date anytime soon. Wedges or pumps are perfect to wear with this dress.

Wildfox Couture is a relatively new brand, around since 2007, but has exploded on the fashion scene especially with celebrities. People like Megan Fox, Taylor Swift, Halle Berry, Katy Perry, Kristin Cavallari, Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens have all be seen wearing this brand. Victoria Beckham even wore the “Wildfox 87″ shirt on the cover of Glamour magazine a few months ago. This is a brand that has not target age demographic so there is no fear that this is a brand just for teenagers.

Wildfox Couture makes vintage inspired soft, baggy, and fun tee shirts for the most part but has branched out a bit to sweatshirts, scarves, denim, leggings, and ponchos. The tee shirts can be worn with short or jeans for a casual look but some of the shirts   can be worn under a blazer or other more dressed up outfits to add a little punch of fun.

All of the products have unique cuts and styles and the patterns are very one of a kind as well. Taking elements from decades past, Wildfox Couture makes everything modern with elements of the past. Most of the shirts and tank tops have a nostalgic 1980s feel to them though there are elements of the ’70s and previous decades in the clothing as well. Some of the features of the shirts that are ’80s influenced have wide necklines and  are cropped in length a la Flashdance style. Other elements of the ’80s that are prevalent are fringed bottom tops, splatter paint prints on the shirts, and exaggerated armholes and racer-back tank tops.

You are not going to find simple basic solid shirts with Wildfox Couture, the shirts all either have images, phrases, or a mix of both. If you want a shirt with an image on it, many of the shirts have hearts on them. I am not taking a simple basic boring heart though. Some of the shirts with hearts include one that are : rainbow pattern, I ♥_______ , one with a British Monachy tie in for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and hearts with Native American dream-catchers. There are plenty of other heart shirts if you want. Another popular line of Wildfox Couture shirts and tank tops has French references to them ranging from phrases to images, many of which are associated with Marie Antoinette. If you want a phrase for a shirt there are plenty to choose from but one of my favorites are the ones that are made for each of the zodiac signs. The phrases on these shirts all are catchy and are associated to each sign perfectly. For 2011 a large number of Wildfox shirts have  Native American images on them. These shirts have dreamcatchers, bows and arrows, and headdresses on them.

Club Monaco is known for their young and hip designs and for most of the past decade they have become known for their black and white signature colors.   While originally an independent Canadian company, Club Monaco is now a division of Ralph Lauren Corporation.  For the past couple of years now they been really focused on renewing their brand and reaching a larger and younger audience, especially in the U.S.  As part of their marketing campaign  they have begun adding brighter hues into their lines to compliment their more traditional neutral tones. In the 1960s and 70s the jet setting fashion crowd was known for wearing Halston clothing. Spring is right around the corner and as we shiver in the cold the thought of new clothes and styles light us up. This year’s Gucci spring and summer collection is filled with vivid colors and sexy designs. Frida Giannini the creative director for Gucci has really take charge of the fashion house and moved it toward a new decade and a younger hipper image. Bright jewel tone colors are injected through out the collection along with a mix of classic designs and edgy new cut outs.

My favorite has to be their beautiful form fitting skirts. I also adored their green jacket that is absolutely fabulous and though not officially the color of the year , green has recently taken the spotlight at the Golden Globe Awards where an array of celebrities were adorned in the color.
